Connecting the deep domain expertise and industry experience of managed service providers (MSPs) with a sharp focus on the infrastructure needs of a digital age, is a vital strategy in driving growth throughout UK businesses.

Croft is a leading MSP, focused on delivering bespoke IT and communication services to a range of organisations. With a relationship spanning more than a decade, Pulsant has been the digital infrastructure partner for Croft, throughout a period of intense growth.

Driven by Croft’s desire to develop a portfolio of services for clients in industries as diverse as education, healthcare, retail, leisure, legal and finance, the partnership is built on commercial success and a keen, cultural fit between the two companies.

“As Croft has grown, the similarities with Pulsant have really shone through,” explains Iain Simpson, director at Croft.

“Everything we do here is bespoke, from design to implementation. As a result, our customers place a huge amount of trust in our consultancy and choice of partners. That trust is built on the results of technology that aligns with their business. Because those needs change, we demand flexibility and agility from our partners. And through it all, our service must be backed by technological excellence.

“This ‘chain of trust’ is what we have found with Pulsant. They offer a flexible, reliable infrastructure, which is contained with the UK and compliant, but connected to the world. This means we can take our tailored offerings to customers under one brand and be confident that the technology will deliver. The longevity of our relationship is a direct result of this trust.”

As Pulsant has developed its portfolio of twelve colocation facilities, connected by a low latency network fabric and complemented by a powerful edge infrastructure platform, it has enabled Croft to expand its services.

From the simple beginnings of virtual PBXs and wholesale voice to offering comprehensive technology across unified communications, IT and mobile, Croft has developed by both acquisition and organic growth to 230 staff across 12 sites.

As such, Croft is one of the leading organisations that is part of Pulsant's new partner programme. This offers MSPs access to the Pulsant platformEDGE™ digital infrastructure and aims to develop a collaborative ecosystem with new commercial models, sales resources, incentives, and dedicated partner managers.

The programme facilitates digital innovation and means partners can focus on delivering compelling solutions for their clients without major capital outlays.

This partnership is also currently seen in joint marketing towards the National Merchant Buying Society (NMBS) – targeting over 1,250 members of a £2bn UK buying group.

Looking to the future, Pulsant is set to be the technological backbone of Croft's new carrier-grade, feature-rich, multi-tenant voice platform launching in Summer 2024. The service will run on the  Pulsant cloud platform, based out of Newcastle and Croydon.

“Croft is a superb example of our Pulsant Partner Programme at work,” explains Wendy Shearer, Director of Partnerships and Ecosystems at Pulsant.

“The reach of our next-generation digital infrastructure is extended, and our partners can offer increased services to clients looking for the next step in their digital evolution and growth. This expands opportunity throughout various markets and the length and depth of our relationship with Croft shows just how far this approach can go.”
